Where did you get the tailgate brackets? My guess is some sheet metal that was "scrap" and made them yourself.

I know the kind of Richard Craniums of which you speak. Work with several. Although one recently shot himself in the foot and is gone.

Nope, I called up Extreme Metal Products and asked if they would sell a set of brackets separate. I like their setup because it attaches to the bed and tilts with the bed. They said sure, was only $40.

Sorry, I thought you meant my rear bumper brackets. Yes, the tailgate brackets were made with some scrap metal. Moved the holes back an inch and up half an inch.

Well got a little done tonight. Waiting on my lights to get here, they will be mounted flush into the bumper.

I'm really liking your rear bumper, I've been sketching up a design for one myself.Did you make the rear one from 1/4" stock also? Good idea on calling emp for the brackets, that will save you a little head scratching!

The top is 1/4", the rest is 1/8". I didn't want it to be too heavy by using all 1/4". I have two gussets inside for strength. The bumper curves to match the rear profile of the machine. I will post pics when I get a chance to mock it up.

pissa, real nice, I've got to get to work, well after the honey do list. My loving wife decided she wants to paint the inside of our house. Lucky for me the house isn't real big.
you going to spray paint it or get it powered coated?

It's not a simple design, and honestly for $40 I will gladly pony up the cash. I'm going to sandblast and coat with POR-15 then bedliner over the top to match the texture finish. I've done this combo before and works great.

Nice design. The flush mount lights will be sweet. Powder coat places have a textured black as well in case you're ever looking. Looking forward to your finished project.
