In this thread I am including a number of different websites both private and government in regards to anything historical or trail related for those wishing to discover more about Idaho and it’s entertaining past.

This first link is called the back country discovery route. Every western state has one. Basically, you can go from north to south borders of each western state all on national forest roads and trails without ever having to touch pavement except to stop for fuel which these maps also include besides elevation but places you can stay along the route water and fuel.

This is in reference to the Centennial Trail in central Idaho in the Frank church River of no return wilderness. Through much research I was able to discover that the southern portion of it just south of the Salmon River Valley is actually accessible by OHV ATVs and side-by-side’s. I did ride this many years ago in my pioneer 500. This was the trip that I took from Bergdorf Hot Springs north to the French Creek switchbacks down to the Salmon River Valley and then over to the vinegar creek boat ramp and then heading back up and south on the Centennial Trail which brought me out near the northern edge of war Eagle Mountain and then over to the small community of Secesh Idaho

I've heard that. Would really like to do a fall trip up there. Can you ride your SxS out of the town of Avery?
Absolutely, Idaho doesn’t care. Can ride town to town. I’d do Idaho sticker but they are 12$ and can be purchased all over. It’s just a sticker, it’s not tied to the machine

I've been to Mackay 3 times. Great place to ride.
I love riding the Copper basin. Mackey Bar is a different place entirely and also an amazing place to ride from Orogrande and the Gospel Hump Wilderness
