Scoop i have looked at your heater plumbing and your on the mark.I made the statement for those with a factory installed heater on a 1000 many dont install their own heater as you did.Buggyman 10 miles south in clinton.

Well the inferno heater is installed. It definitely blows hot air. It was showing 142F with temp gun and not all the air was purged. Will check again. A couple of things I noticed about this heater:

1) some instructions and parts were not meant for my 2019 700-4 Deluxe. Such asit should have come with two shorter vents for the defrost as they only sent one for the drivers side. What ends up happening for the other defrost is a kinked duct (not to bad but annoying as one purchases a kit meant for this machine). Lots of framing is in the way of the passenger heater duct/louvre

2) the instructions to cut hose length was off. The cooler to core is supposed to be 80 and the head to core return was listed as 76. No go. I had to reverse it all. Had I just cut 80 and the left the other piece at its remaining length it would have been no issue.

3) location of lower vents is not what’s in the picture. My machine is so different from the pictures. I had to improvise and made it work.

Why did I continue after all this and not call inferno? Days off are limited and colder weather is coming. I just wanted it over and done with. Improvising is what I do for a living lol

I will contact inferno and let them know. May get them to send up proper louvre vent but do I want to take it all apart? Probably not lol. Other than that, it works as advertised. Lots of airflow No complaints on function. The two gun dogs were toasty warm. I was sweating as I had on long Johns lol

Depends on how everything is plumbed. Post some pictures, we can see how it is.

If the unit you purchase does not come with any type of temp control (to limit coolant flow), all you need to do install a ball valve or similar valve inline on the hose supplying coolant to the heater core. Something like this (see pic). Then you can just shut it off in the summer and back in the winter.

Not familiar with the Inferno install.

A ball valve (like the one in the pic I posted) is just a single ball valve with a nipple on each end. You cut the hose, then connect the ends to each end of the ball valve, securing with hose clamp. All it does is place a valve, which you open and close, in the middle of the hose.
