Thanks Man.POIDH is pics or it didn't happen
The clamps that hold the air horns on inside the airbox are supposed to have the threads deformed to stop them from being able to back off and fall out.
They've seen several thay have been not tightened to the proper spacing and the threads haven't been deformed so they're backing out. This has caused moto failure when they fall into the engine and enter the combustion chamber.
All, only certain VINs though i believeThanks for the update, HondaTech. Any idea which production years are involved?
Steve
Hope they fired the guy at the plant that was slacking and not crimping the threads after tightening the boots..... Or maybe he used to be the shift cable adjuster guy and got demoted to air box boot clamp tightener and sucks at this job too. 🤣All, only certain VINs though i believe
This is exactly the issue.Hope they fired the guy at the plant that was slacking and not crimping the threads after tightening the boots..... Or maybe he used to be the shift cable adjuster guy and got demoted to air box boot clamp tightener and sucks at this job too.
We have the bulletin, your dealer can do the inspection in 5 minutes. No vin numbers and letters not being sent for another month thanks Honda.

Yes, but it would be nice if the VIN numbers were available to us mere mortals so as to eliminate the need to schedule with the dealer, hassle with loading the trailer, hauling it there, unloading, etc. if our particularly Talon isn't part of the subset.

Guess that's your decision.Yes, but it would be nice if the VIN numbers were available to us mere mortals so as to eliminate the need to schedule with the dealer, hassle with loading the trailer, hauling it there, unloading, etc. if our particularly Talon isn't part of the subset.
