Multi Kayaking/Paddle Boarding/Canoeing

Always been interested in kayaking/paddle sports. Just wanted to start a thread since I know there are quite a few others that probably share the same interests!

My kiddo is finally big enough that we're comfortable letting her paddle on her own. Someone in the neighborhood was getting rid of a cheap kid-size kayak a while back so I grabbed it. She's been out 2-3 times now with her mom nearby on her standup paddle board and has done awesome.

We've got a Vibe Skipjack 120T tandem kayak that the wife and I use. It's a great boat, no issues at all and we bought it new in 2015. Only con is that it is heavier than s***...

I bought the wife this inflatable standup paddleboard for her birthday a few years ago and she loves it. The rigid SUP were too heavy for her to get up onto the roof of her SUV. This one lets her toss it in the back and inflate it when she gets to where she wants to go.

I just ordered one of the new Vibe Makana 100 pedal kayaks. Never used a pedal kayak, but I can't paddle a regular one without some sort of contraption that lets me only use one hand. That's why we got the tandem; I just make the wife paddle everywhere and I pass her beers. Now that the kid can handle her own boat I want to be able to go out too. Supposed to ship sometime in the next 20 days.

Never mind, I think that I saw it on the right side, your gonna love it! I'd get the lightest color, wife's is an off white way cooler than my olive green one.

That is awesome! My wife and I enjoy kayaks a ton. We got our family hooked and we basically all have one now.

We canoe a few times a year. The wife likes going. We have the Huron River close by.
Once a year we have a canoe/golf weekend at our cabin. Its coming up the first weekend in August about 12 of us. We canoe the Au Sable River in Grayling. Good times

Pretty sure it has to be registered as a boat if I add a trolling motor. I've got a jon boat with a 25 for fishing around here, but not quite as easy as tossing the kayaks in the truck and going wherever we want.

I've never seen any where we usually put the kayaks in. Think it might be too shallow for them, nothing to eat. See them all the time on the deeper side of the river.

New kayak finally came in on Wednesday. Got it rigged up and out on the water yesterday. Little bit of a learning curve with the pedal drive but super stable and handled really well.









Still feels weird to have a big hole in my boat...
