My wife has had an iRocker inflatable SUP for a couple years now. I was super skeptical to this thing holding up for more than a few uses but it's been great. I figured it would be like trying to stand on one of those $10 Wal-Mart inflatable boats. Hers is 13.5-15 PSI max as well. Think she usually has it at 14 psi.
14 is what I was at Sunday. I was skeptical of this ROC one the entire kit was roughly $305. I was very pleased with it.
My only experience thus far had been with the TOWER SUP boards which are fantastic.. but a much higher price point and come basically unequipped. (Kind of like a P5.. 🤔)

I was just looking at those after your post. I may pick up one of the smaller ones for the kid. When we got my wife's SUP there were no where near the options out there that we've got now. Those ROC boards look nice. I'm sure it's the same 6 year old Chinese kids making the $1200 boards as the $300 boards, they just put different stickers on them.

Well, grenaded one of the sprockets on the pedal drive after about 4 hours of use. Not cool....

Apparently there was a bad batch and they've remedied it with the replacement parts they are shipping out for warranty repairs.

That's the same drive that's on my Hobbie, I've got the power flippers on mine that you can really put some pressure on the sprockets with and never done that.

You have the Hobie version of this drive; this is a clone of a Hobie (XD Drive). They made the sprockets out of the wrong material and there have been tons of failures with the release of this new Makana kayak.

@Smitty335 - You probably have this drive or similar...

There are quite a few companies with their own copies of it since Hobie's patent expired a few years ago. Their new Mirage 180 drives with the reverse and kickup fins are sweet, but over $1k.

The Hobie drives will drop right into the pod on my kayak and will be what I go to if Vibe can't get this one right.

The Vibe version is the X-Drive:

Oh, I did. Well, I didn’t but my partner in crime did. About 2 seconds after this picture. Thank god I was holding on to my phone lol. She had been pulling herself in then jumping out, decided to put her feet up on the side and then pull herself up this time and dumped it.
