Here in the NW LP, the last three years have all been poor seasons. Usually we can get started with riding by the third week of December and can usually ride a ways into March.

These last three we haven't gotten started until the first or second week of January, and we're usually done by the time March hits.

At this rate of global warming, there'll be no more snowmobiling at all in a few years!!🤡o_O🤣🤪😥😭🤡😭😷😷🤡🤡

Boggie wheels 🤘😎🤣🤣🤣

There was a time when the environmentalist wackos called it global cooling. They were saying that the polar ice caps were going to be over KY by the yr 2000. They predicted this back in the 70’s. 🤣
those people couldnt find the assholes with both hands! Even today

Nice! I heard the 600s were getting harder and harder to get because doo is pushing the 850s.
Havent heard that. My connections told me that the 600 Etec is a much better choice. We considered the 850, fir the extra $ and only a touch differnt in some areas it wasnt worth that for our needs we felt.

No, we were out in the forest. Rode from Petoskey over to the Thirsty Sturgeon in Wolverine. Great ride!

Even the rail trail was kinda fun, because we were the first ones down it and there was about 10' of fresh snow.
Thirsty Sturgeon is a great place to eat.
You know your suppose to stay off trails and forest land till Dec 1st? Even ORV was suspended Nov 15th You must not be a hunter?

I could see you were angling that way, btw.

The rule is after 5pm. And I am a hunter, this area is so vast, and with all the county seasonal roads running through the forest, if you can't find a place where a vehicle moving through won't ruin your day, you kinda suck. 😀

Furthermore, that rule is an ORV rule, and snowmobiles are not ORVs. See if you can find a rule restricting snowmobiles Nov 15 - Dec 1.

It's in the MI hunter digest, snowmobiles and ORVs are restricted unless retrieving game. I could look it up for you but I don't really give 2 sh1ts either way. This same argument cones up every year on the sled forums. You do you....lol

Ok Buddy, here you go. Easy to find on the DNR site. Here is 2 pics off the site and a link for your lavatory reading pleasure lol.

I brought this up cuz Im an avid hunter, have Family in Law enfacement in your area (no im not reporting you ) and I have land that boarders state land on 2 sides with lots of forest roads with one the ends at my gate. One side boarders trail #4 withen 300 yards of the property line. As how I love the sound of the BERRRRAPPP and ripping of a SXS from my cabin front porch during the state designated time frames. I dont care for when Someone is ripping down them durring the firearm season spooking deer in my area and the safety of the rider ascendantly getting shot at which is the primary reason for the regulations. Weve had a few snowmobilers get tkts in our area for being on trail during that very short “Pause” period. Ive seen it from my cabin. So before u go and accuse me for calling, it was one of the other camps I found out. There was also an accedent involving an 8pt 2 yrs ago when we had early snow by our camp Involving a sled during that time and it wasn't pretty.

Let me be clear I love the sport as much as you and Im sure your doing it quite safely but its when the crazy Ridge Runners see you out there riding during that time, thats when The $hit hits the fan and they will keep doing it and the bad things occur.

Ok, I couldn't find anything in the snowmobile handbook (and it is listed in the ORV handbook.)

Either way, after 5pm still applies for the states "rules."

I use common sense and logic more than the DNRs random and made-up-as-they-go rules.

I believe you do.
But that rule has been in place since I was kid so 🤷‍♂️

Dont know if u seen my other question? Did u get a deer?
I got a very large 6pt dressed at 205. Not bad for a northern deer.

Nice, that is big for up North.

I'm not out this year, no room in the freezer for anything. I usually hunt Portland where we have 170 acres of family land and I get to hunt with my nephews. Bigass corn-fed deer down there.
