P1000 Loose part found under the hood......

Would like to know where the red piece belongs. The miles I've put on it have all been on slightly rough terrain, but at some point this piece was jarred loose.

Battery post insulator? Hogwash. That's the matrix insulator of the turbo encabulator. It is critically important you replace that part immediately to prevent flux leakage.
