Hello, I'm Southerncross

Hello, I'm new to the site was curious about the Honda sxs 700 maintenance program , I've owned many Honda, Polaris , Kawasaki ,and Suzuki atv and I just upgraded to the Pioneer 700-4 deluxe , my question is all the previous 4 wheelers i've always maintained them my self , do all of you carry your sxs to dealer for maintenance ,,,my 20 hr schedule is 400 + for oilchange and to inspect it , am I the only one that thinks this is high, thanks for your input,Southerncross

The oil change on the 700 is pretty straight forward and the biggest pain is filling it back up without spilling any oil. The oil drains pretty slowly through the hose from the cap to the motor. Also watch the metal washers on the filter to make sure you don't loose it down the drain bucket. One thing I pay particular attention is the condition of the air filter. I usually clean it every 150 to 200 miles depending on conditions. It sure gets pretty dirty but with thorough maintenance the 700 will last along time.
