Hi folks. I have a 2020 Pioneer 500 with winch, doors, plow, windshield, fan, and LED lights (front and back). Two questions:

1. Do I need a 2nd battery? if so, where do I put it and how do I hook it up? Wish I would have waited for the 2021...battery access seems much easier!

2. Looking for a manual wiper...any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Extreme metal products, manual windshield wipers, trigger had a great idea and you can mount them in the bracket for the oem windshield that way you don't have a new hole in the windshield..
The set I have are 16 inches so 15 will work

For windshield wipers I have been using BOAT Electric Kits with the switch on the motor. ( find online)
Requires 2 holes drilled in the windshield blade is short have to buy longer blade to fit your machine.
The wiper motor can handle the longer blade.
Cost is simular to UTV manual Kit & there are some inexpensive windshield washer kits on line to.
Put these setups in several boats, tractors, & utv's over the years none have had a problem.

I used two manual Kemimoto UTV Windshield Wipers from Amazon, which I staggered mounted due to the configuration of the wiper blades, but I like @pappyo use of electric.
I also put a windshield wash pump and reservoir under the hood.

Washer jets are below the bottom edge of glass.

Ebay find, looks just like EMP but only $10. pay attention to size. For reference on OEM full windshield. 25 inch arm, 16 blade. Goes to top on vertical but does not hit top bend of windshield. When not in use they store vertically.

Nice.. I wish I could have stole this idea before I installed my wiper.

Mudder...if you had to guess...what is the distance from the bottom edge to the hole and from the side edge to the hole...looks like just above the bend in windshield (1"?) and maybe 1.5" from the side?

If I did it again I would have drilled holes a little more towards center for more clearance from OEM windshield tilt pieces.

Received the wiper today...arm and wiper blade are 16"...the blade will hang out over the angled part of the windshield...its either get a shorter wiper arm (which I can't seem to find...Kolpin makes one with a 14" arm and a 12" blade but can't buy it around here)...or try and find a shorter wiper blade. My problem is, if I go with a shorter blade, it won't clean the area directly in front of the drive. Any other suggestion - or just try and find a shorter blade. Looked at triggers post and his blades seem to be way shorter than mine - they don't extend past the windshield when pointed down.

I believe mine were the 16" ers. Don't know exactly where you're trying to mount them? Do you have the Honda hard coat windshield that tips out at the bottom?

I have the Honda hard coat windshield that tips out...trying to install them the same place you did...Just a mock install seems like the blade will extend out over the windshield...perhaps I'll have another look tomorrow...If I installed them in the same place as mudder, I think they would look like his...I measures the wiper arm and blade...both are 16". Mudders pic below. You can see that if I installed them in the windshield mount, they would definitely extend over...that's why I think a 14" wiper and a 14" or 12" wiper blade is the correct setup...If you get a chance want to measure your wiper arm/blade? Cheers

Hi folks...finally got the wiper installed...way too long so I cut it, overlapped the two arms, and reattached them with rivets. Overlapped them about 1.5 - 2 inches or so. For $15 off Amazon it works great! Use a hole in one of the windshield clamps- just had to widen it out to 1/2 inch like someone above mentioned. Might get another one. I've included a pic of the wiper arm - and a few others! Now, just trying to find how and where to install a second battery - can't use under the hood as I have a storage container there!
