P1000 Maxxis Carnivore Update

I know have 1367 miles on my 28x10/14 Carnivores riding mostly hard gravel/crushed rock trails with some rock and mud plus some "flat out" high speed blacktop. No punctures. I pressure them by the Honda manual at 13lbs front and 14lbs rear. I would say I'll get another 2000 miles out of them. My only negative comment would be I don't think they have the performance in thick black bog mud that my BH 2.0's had.

I would try 8psi front and rear. They will handle better and offer a smoother ride. Use the recommended PSI on the sidewall not the recommended PSI for the original tires.

The sidewall reads"See Vehicle Manual for Operating Pressure" and "Do Not Excede 18psi Max Operating Pressure".

That’s lawyer talk. Try 8 to 10 psi, I promise you will be happy with the ride and handling.

I agree 8 to 10 psi I don't know anyone that's runs over 12 psi lol. I know a few folks that run the carnivores and they do good I might try them out later on. I have different tire I really want to try out first when I wear my 32s out.

Did you rotate the tires at all in those miles?

I am also running 13 psi and probably won't go lower. Already come close enough to hitting the rim when I meet a downed tree on the trail.
