Hello, I'm Smitty272

hello all-

I posted this in another pioneer forum and realized it doesn’t get much action.

I’ve been doing my homework since selling my Arctic Cat wildcat trail. I’m looking for a more family friendly buggy.

I have a few reservations about the 700, simply based upon my research.

Thank you-

Smitty

Here is a little info about me to begin with!
Honda SxS ownership : No, but I am looking to buy
I have owned, or currently own the following: UTV
My off-road experience level is: Skilled
My favorite place to ride is: Anywhere

Welcome to the forum from Texas
This place is a very busy group!
I owned a 700-4 for about 2 years and then moved up to the P1k-5. The 700 in my case was a bulletproof machine. It's not The most powerful or fastbst(40mphmax) but has a proven drive train.
The 1000 has plenty of power, more room and more seats (5). It has had a couple problems but looks like Honda is working on fixing these.

How about a little more info on what you want from your machine. There is a lot of info that can be gained here.

Welcome from Florida! The wife has the P700-4 and loves it!. She drives the living crap out of it. 3" lift, snorkeled, 30's, winch, bluetooth stereo, gives it hell. It stays in the mud and water. She has noticed it doesnt like sugar sand. Theres no mountain trails to ride it on down here in Fl so i couldnt tell you about that. The only problems we've had with it is the exhaust header likes to seperate from the muffler pipe from time to time. Ive got a permanent fix for that though if it happens again. She's also broke both front c.v. axles before, but c.v. axles are gonna break with a little lift, 30's, and catching a root here and there in a mud hole. It has decent power i guess for what we do. It has fair aftermarket support i guess. Well there's my 2 cents.

700 can't be beat on dependability. Like others say it's not fast but it is highly capable and the transmission is very reliable. 35 was comfortable cruising speed
