For those who don't understand why I wrote this comment, read and learn the actual meaning of Memorial Day. You can both cure your ignorance and look less foolish going forward.

We all know the meaning. Nothing wrong with giving thanks to those who served or paid the ultimate price on any given day. 🇺🇸

I don't really understand the point of your comment. I do personally believe that Memorial Day is as good a day as Veterans Day to do or say something for our Vets. I spent a day last week putting small flags on the graves of veterans. About the only time I get thanked for my service is when I get my veterans discount at Lowes, but I'm OK with that.

Yup, we can get our veteran thanks on Mar 13th or Sep 20th, or any other day. The nation asks that 1 lousy day be set aside to commemorate those who died in service to this nation. So, for one day, maybe do the right thing and not thank me, but think of those that died, instead.

I think your taking too much out of context here. If u listen to audio (you havent said if u have or not) assuming you have not, We are thanking those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and they served duh! We all grieve in different ways.

Yup, I and coach John never Called guys that got caught hero’s either. They were poor unfortunate soles. And if they made it home, god bless the hell out of them. The word Hero is thrown around to loosely now a days IMO.

As For McCain, he suffered through some bad s*** on HIS WAY to the Hanoi Hilton and was at least treated for his injuries there unlike other pow camps. Some POW’s that I got to know from the VFW that spent time there said they were treated much better than any other camp, hince the name “Hilton” at least they had beds. Still not a cool thing. McCain got better treatment and was released cuz his father was an Admiral. Its well documented. God bless the others that were able to make it home.

Trump didn't like him because he was a political opponent. I get the impression you didn't like him just because trump didn't. Otherwise what would be your reason?

Obama's not my "guy". Didnt vote for him either.

What Trump said/thinks on that has no barring on what I think sir.
As for political, McCain was a rhino, like Romney but better than the Radical socialist Obama as to why I supported them. Yes McCain was a a decorated Navel officer and there is no disputing that and his service to our county is greatly appreciated. He’s just not in a catagory as a Hero. He was once asked that when he was running in 08’ he said I quote “I appreciated that, but the men and women that actually died defending this country are real Hero’s not me”
So take that for what its worth.
