Still haven’t come up with a solid idea for adding mirrors back to the talon since adding the SATV enclosure. Unless I drill more holes in my windshield frame or cut into the enclosure fabric I don’t see how or what mirror system will work. Anyone else have this figured out?

Right after I posted I went in the garage and looked at the mirrors I had previously bought and came up with an idea. I have a bolt through my SATV glass windshield frame holding light pods on either side so I’ll drill a second hole on either side to mount a 1-3/4”x5” flat stock bracket to mount the mirrors to. This will work. I’ll post pics when I get around to it next weekend

Here's what I did to put mirrors on the Honda accessory doors, welded in some flat stock to the frame then bolted through the canvas.

I took my doors off for the summer, sending the drives canvas down to @Ridinfool for zipper repairs 😬
Oh boy. You’ll have that sometimes the zip outdoors.

Ok so instead of buying flat stock I found two of these. I’ll paint and slap them on and boom, I’ll have my mirrors again. It’s steel so they should bounce while driving and they’re long enough I’ll be able to see them but not too long I’d worry about hitting them on anything. Going to use the bolt for the pod on each side and I’ll drill a second hole to mount the bracket. Only concern would be if I did hit anything with the bracket is that it’s attached to the windshield. That wouldn’t be good.

Title changed, also had another idea. So I don’t have to drill into the windshield again or worry about if I hit the mirror brackets that it’ll damage the windshield, I’m going to go low on the A pillar and cut the roll bar clamps in half so they’re narrow enough to fit in that tight spot below windshield frame.

It’s a work in progress still. Need to fix the bracket to fix the angle on it and will play with the possibility of shortening the bracket. As long as I can see the mirror past the enclosure but have the bracket as short as possible. So far the only thing I like about it is it’s not attached to the window frame. The rest I really don’t like, looks stupid to me

Finally finished both mirrors. Not what I want, so I’ll keep looking for an appropriate product or come up with a different solution, but until then this works and doesn’t look stupid. I have a hunt coming up so not enough time to worry about it.

While I was working on it I started adding some weather stripping to keep some of the dust out. This is definitely going to be a work in progress
