Starting a thread for the MOM Overland Adventure.

This year we need to leave on Wednesday. This is because we need to be back Saturday morning for the RinFool memorial.
To get some distance in, we must leave Wednesday, 2 pm... or EARLIER.

THE PLAN...
Per request, we will be running a similar trip as last year. Maybe reverse.
Wednesday night camp is currently UNKNOWN.
Thursday night will be in Kentucky, Middlesboro area, and camping at Cannon Lake.
Friday night will be back closer to Eagle Rock.

I will also be camping Saturday night close to the truck, you are welcome to join.

Things to know...
Gas - Need to pack at least 1 gallon. We will be making a gas stop.
You MUST start on a 100% full tank.
Food - Need food for Wed night through Saturday lunch. We may eat find a place for some food but no promises on that. If you need help on food or cooking food just let us know.
Camping: Hammocks work best, but there might be a spot for a tent or two. If you have never really hammock-camped, please let me know. It's more than just a hammock.
Bathing... Take a bath on Thursday in Cannon Creek Lake. LOL.

Need at least 1 spare tire for group usage. We will evaluate this as we see who all is coming.
We will discuss spare parts and tools later.

Well... Let's get this party started.
Need to hold a limit of about 10 machines or so.

We service a few funeral homes! Also in my career serviced the elevators at the county morgue. 🤢
Non sequitur, but I had to take some ridiculous training the other day at work and they mentioned Automatic Elevator Company in their presentation. Small world.

I'm looking to make it myself however Athyn has something else planned.

That means I might be able to use a hammock and not drag the tent but I could use some more info as I don't currently have one.

Hennessy Hammock and War Bonnet Hammocks are a couple of the higher end camping brands. I personally run a Hennessy Expedition Asym and love it. If you're not using it that often, you could probably get by with any Amazon special variant. Hopefully by late September the skeeters are gone, but if not, I'd recommend getting one with a built in bug net. I run tree loops for easier setup. A Ridgeline with an overtarp to keep any moisture out. And that time of year, I bring along an (Amazon special) under quilt to keep you from dumping all your heat out the bottom.

Hope this helps.
