P1000m5 Moose blade mount

Hey guys. First post and new to the forum. Got a 17 10005 Len and just got a moose plow kit from my dealer. I went to install the mounting plate and because I have the le, it has a full aluminum skid, doesn’t appear to me to fit properly. Yes the frt bolts are easy enough but the rear bolts are supposed to go through holes in the frame. To the rear of the mounting plate. The mounting plate I have the rear holes just line up with the aluminum skid. Appears pretty mikey mouse to me. Anyone ever run into this. My dealer told me that moose doesn’t make a mounting kit specific for the le. Don’t want to mount it then end up ripping off the skid. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Why not just drill the holes through the skid plate to allow the plow mount to bolt into the frame?

Post a few pics so what know what you're looking at. I have an LE also. I'd recommend a full uhmw skid plate anyway. I sold my aluminum one and replaced it immediately.

Ran into the same problem, but I had made my own skid plate and just notched it to fit. I did have to remove the floor to complete the install. A few pics...

So I have it mocked up and I’ll have to notch the mounting plate around the skid plate bolts and washers. On the frt I’m still left with about 3/4” gap between the mounting plate and the skid

It’s been a while but I think I used a jack to close that gap, then installed the bolts. Having someone to assist on this part could save you a lot of time!

Yea I agree I'd jack it up tight and bolt it. I assume there are washers in the middle of the plate causing the issue.... making it flex and close that gap shouldn't cause any issues.

Gotta up and mounted. Had to grind out plate for washers and then used longer bolts for frame those were fun. All done with. Thanks for your help

Hey, can you post some pictures of the mount bolted up? Want to see how much hangs down, whether I will have to unbolt it every spring or not for the off-road in season. I had one on my Yamaha Grizzly and the frame caught on everything causing me to constantly get stuck. But it was a pain to bolt and unbolt every year.
