As a general rule, with a fuse intended to protect wiring from overheating and becoming a potential ignition source, it should be rated 101 - 150% of the wire's current rating. That said, if the max total current draw from all items powered through that fuse is less than the wire's rating, there's no harm in using a smaller fuse based on the lesser total cumulative load current.
After all, the idea is to protect the wiring from a short such as might occur in an accident where a wire is pinched against a grounded part of the vehicle.
