I have had mine for about 5 months now. Not really done anything yet. I want the speed limiter gone I know that haha.

I have a lot of plans. But here it is for now.

Welcome to the HondaSxS Club...
Going to be difficult to get this limiter removed. We been looking for the same solution on the P700 also.

As for your mods. I like your light bar. With it you no longer have to use the headlights at all. I owned a light bar until I got my Pioneer. Its only a 12" and boy does it light up the trail. Thinking about getting a 30" for the top sometime.

Just ordered the CFM 2" lift for my p5. And just saw the moose top. Ordering that and the half windshield from superatv. Then the kfi high mount winch with a 3000lb winch.

How much more speed can be gained by removing it? Seems to me like the engine is in the upper end of its power band when it kicks in, it's not really geared to go much faster.

I hear you about the top end. I've had a number of machines from dirt and street bikes to quads. All of which I did engine mods to. I recently gave up my kfx700 to purchase my P5... It was heart wrenching to do. I knew I was giving up my road riding for good. Tough to go from a 70mph machine to a 40 mph machine. But i use my P5 for more then trails. It's my new work horse and I love it.

Tom is pretty accurate. Not much left in this engines top end. Even with the aftermarket cdi box taking the limiter off and spreading the gears out, I can only see getting 45mph outta this machine.
Mine tops out at 41 down my street. With my 26" tires on I have seen 42. But I wouldn't wanna push that engine anymore. 40 mph is fast in the woods!

Yeah it is fast in the woods. But I ride the side of the road a lot to get to my trails
