P1000 My Tailgate Fix and Extension

Had some time this weekend so I bought some angle brackets from HomeDepot and modified/powder coated them so tailgate now lays flat. Also built a bed extender so my cooler will fit in the back. The extender is not 100% done, but close.

Does the bed extender bolt in?

I read this post this morning while waiting to get the front end aligned on my wifes car, I wonder if it will work on the 700's also? I stopped by Tractor supply on the way home so I'll find out later when it warms up a bit.

thats was a great idea @Nurm , they work on the 700's also its a quick simple fix. I was kind of the same mind as @my99svt with the tail gate, I very rarely use mine and it being tilted up really didn't bother me when it was down, but this fix was just to easy not to do.

Also, just so ya know, you'll not reinstall the nut and bolt once removed.
