I looked at a Textron Havoc 1000, it's a lot wider than a P1 and I wouldn't argue that it would be more stable than a P1 on off camber hills, just can't argue with wider, you've got to find a compromise on where and how you ride. I chased a couple of 500's around about five weeks ago on there trails, had a blast, I made it, with a lot more revolutions on the wheel than they made. My P1 is stock width, no lift.

I must be in a mood today...but i have doubts that the 1000 has any significant stability advantage over the 700. It's a bit bigger, sure...its also got a much heavier engine sitting up higher (check the GC for both). Don't let the big tall ROPS fool you.

Buy and ride what you want and can afford, I don't give a hoot what you ride, let's go riding!

I haven’t looked at one in person but going off their website, the Havoc is the same width as the Wildcat XX - 64”. The Pioneer is 63”... so are they lying about the width or is 1” just “a lot” wider to you?

Sure you can argue with it.
A bus is way wider than a Honda Civic. Which one is more stable?
All things being equal, certainly wider will be better. But they aren't equal here.

I think your comment was just a little unfair! What you would or would not trade for is totally irrelevant and shadows the real issue. The P5 is very capable durable and Honda reliable. In my case the 700 or 1000 will not fit(width) where we play or spend our time. Also the 1000 will not fit our toy hauler so not knowing the gentleman circumstance your opinion is just that not relevant. Not to mention perhaps this gentle man has a budget-familylies usually do....
Hi Mike,
This is why I like forums and I have had all 3 models of Pioneers and have experience with a Honda Big Red. I would rather have a Honda Big Red than a 500. The P5 is very capable, durable and has the Honda reliability.

I have no reason to as I'm not interested in it... if I ever looked at any rubber band ride, it'd be a canned ham x3. And that'll happen right after I win the lotto.
Go look at one, very nice! Combination utility and sport, take your tape measure.

Coming home photo. Moments later I was parked along the highway with a blown out trailer tire.
