I got my winch in the mail and looking over what it will take to install and looks like a real pain. The contactor that comes with the Viper is taller than the existing warn winch contactor and it don't think it will fit where the existing contactor is located (behind the 2nd battery). Where did other mount the contactor? And, i assume I could just replace the winch and use all the existing winch wiring and switches currently in place, other than I would lose the wireless controller. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I left the Honda contact and put the battery leads on my secondary battery, don't know if that's right or wrong, used the factory wiring for the winch, installed a toggle for in and out, haven't changed out the remote yet. I've got to trace that out.

Thanks for all the responses. I think i'll just try changing out the winch and use the existing wires for now. Maybe I can still wire in the wireless transmitter to the existing set up? Has anyone else done that?

I already used that spot for my stinger on the dual battery set up, which it doesn't look like you have one.
I have a simplistic mind, so I connected the winch direct to the secondary battery and ran power to a Blue Ray fuse block from the secondary battery, every accessory has it's own ground from the fuse block and fused positive power.

Winch not direct, from the contractor.

I like how you labeled all the wires....i wish i did that for all of them:(
I wish I had a better plan from the start and could have made it neat and organized. Maybe one day I’ll get bored enough to start over and make it pretty.
