Not sure what you call this boot but it’s behind driver side heading toward back left tire area. How tough a job to replace? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Could be a ShoGoo fix. Worth the try even if only a temporary repair...

Had the same thing and put shoe goo on it 2-3 years ago and it’s still fine, fwiw.

I believe that's called the propeller shaft. There's a thread on here somewhere about changing that boot but I'm not sure where it is. Mines torn too. I found something on U Tube. It involves taking the rear end loose and rolling it back an inch or so if I remember correctly. I'm just driving mine till it gets bad and then I'll tackle it. Probable do the back brakes while I'm there

I found the shoo glue fix last night. Definitely going to try that route. Going to insert some grease and shoo glue the crap out of it. Thanks guys.

I’m not sure it needs grease in there...🤔 But if you do you’ll need to clean any residue off the boot with solvent and let it dry real good.

I was wondering about that after I posted. Does grease need to be added? I’m a quick learner when it comes to all this stuff so I only need to be told once. 🥴

Like I said it’s been 2-3 years since the thread where all this was discussed. If memory serves, there’s just a universal knuckle (or hoople adapter, hell I don’t know what it’s called.....🤣) inside of there and squeezing grease inside the hole of your boot isn’t needed. But hopefully somebody with more experience with this than myself shows up to help you. I can tell you that there was never any grease residue around the tear on mine when I repaired it, so I don’t think that there was any slung out. I didn’t add any to mine. I just cleaned it thoroughly and applied the shoe goo....👍

I used some clear Shoo Goo on a Vinyl boat cushion, good stuff like silicone on steroids. It was a just one more example of good tips from this forum.

Thanks guys. I’m going to shoo glue it and drive the heck out of it as always. No telling how long it’s been torn. We’ll see what happens. Thanks again and the tips on here are always appreciated. I think i’ve bought and installed virtually every thing that can be done at this point except torq locker and power steering!

You’re welcome. Just bear in mind that the cleaner you get the rubber, the better it will adhere. And then just keep an eye on it. 👍

I thought the same a long time ago, (at least $4,000 ago). I don't think it will ever stop.
Yep, and quite likely there’s no one who knows like trigger.....🤣🤣👍

But his machine is quite awesome...........
Oh, there’s no question about that. But can’t I brag on his machine and rib him all at the same time? 😊👍
Edit: guess I should tag him for that to actually work...🙄

hey @trigger
