  1. 700-2
Hello - new member here from Minnesota. Just picked up a new to me 2018 Pioneer 700-2. I had been looking for a good used Honda for a few years and finally found this one. Bought it from a dealer about 3 hours away from me so it made me a bit nervous but I have family in that area that have used this dealer before and recommended them to me. I feel like I got a good deal on it. It's in really nice shape and when I actually got to put my hands on it I was even more impressed.

Kind of funny story. I made the deal on the machine before I actually had a chance to see it in person. Had the dealer quote me to put a winch/blade on the front. Quote came in a little high, but they said they'd have it installed and ready for me when I come pick it up so I figured a few extra $$ was worth the money. Because of work schedule I wasn't able to pick it up immediately so I made an appointment to pick it up about 4-5 days later. I drive down to pick it up and I walk in and see a machine that looks just like the pictures I was looking at (with a SOLD sign on the windshield) - but no blade installed. Salesman comes out and says "How can I help you?" "I'm here to pick up my 700." He gets a smile on his face "Oh, hi. Here's you machine." I ask him "Wasn't it supposed to have a blade installed?" Smile goes away and panicked look sets in. "Um, yeah. Let me check on that" Comes out a few minutes later. "I'm not sure what happened but we didn't get the message to the shop. They can do it now if you want to wait around." I've got another 3 hour drive back home so I'm not keen on waiting around. Salesman asks if I'm willing to do it myself if he sends all the parts home with me. I agree. I've owned ATVs my whole life and have installed them myself in the past so I don't need someone else to do it but I was willing to pay a little extra to have it ready. I tell him that. He responds "Oh, we'll make it right. How about I knock off $500 for the inconvenience?" At that point, the winch/blade combo is actually about $100 cheaper than what I was finding online and I would have had to install it myself anyway. So I guess sometimes things work out even when they don't. Very happy with my dealer experience even though I have a little work to do now.

Thanks for reading the story. Anything I should know as I'm just starting to get to learn my machine?
