Hello all. Names Matt Iv recently purchased a 16 1000-5 and so far been very impressed with the machine. Took it on a recent ride and it did very well. So far happy happy. Plan on asking some questions and trying to figure some stuff out especially lifting this thing lol. Thanks for the add.

First off, there is no end to the amount of money which can be tossed into these units and likely never recovered, so know that going into it. Personally, I would avoid putting a big lift/wheels on the unit for the following two reasons: a) you will learn the machine and how it reacts under various conditions in stock mode and b) while learning the machine, you are well within the limits of warranty. I believe if modified heavily (tires, lift, etc.) and let's say you have a clutch/transmission issue, then you are standing on thin ice to get it repaired by Honda, that is my opinion.
