Just stumbled across this forum while searching for tires for my Pioneer and figured I'd join.... I've got a 2018 1000-5 base model, didn't want to spend the extra money on buying anything fancy seeing as I use it 90% of the time on my small ranch, it gets used daily and has been a life saver.....
Couple questions I do have are
1. Is the first major service (Valve adjustment) really needed to be done by Honda or is it easy enough to tackle at home...

2. Does anybody else's crank over slower, mine has seemed to from day one...

Welcome from Oklahoma. Beautiful ranch land in NorCal. I have a 16 and 18 model, neither of which have ever cranked slowly and I’ll never adjust valves unless they require it, which hasn’t been yet lol. Battery tenders are great for these.
