Hello! I'm looking to get a Pioneer 1000-5. I have a Teryx4 which I love, but I'm wanting to get away from CVT belts. I live in AZ and I drive a lot of street miles at about 50+ mph. Usually about 15-20 min each way to my off road spots. So the long high speeds are making me kinda nervous with the belt temps and breaking. Belt change is not a hard fix, but you do have to take a lot apart and I think it took me a few hours to change my first belt. I'd hate to have to do that repair out in AZ where I go...
Also, I went back and forth between the 2. The Teryx4 just happened to be there while the Pioneer would have been a few more months.

So, I'll be looking around for info. Thanks for any tips or advice!

50 Mph + for that long? Holy shamoly! Id look into a Talon. The P1 can do that but once u put some larger tires on it your pushing it a bit. Maybe slow it down a little? Lol

anyway…welcome from the Winter Water Wonderland State!

Another welcome from The Great Lakes State.

I agree with @Remington.....with high speed runs for that long, get yourself a Talon.

Yes Sir! On top of that, people love to tailgate and pass by when I'm doing the speed limit plus some.

Up here, were only allowed to ride on the shoulder of certain roads. Although we ride in the road if theres no traffic. you can try and do the speed limit but u are to yield to traffic aka slow down, get over but not stop. Your passed all the time by people going 20-35 mph faster.
unless u pay Strechen (for those in Reo Linda thats our big busted Gov) her reDickless fees to become street legal.

Lotta difference between going 50/55 and 60/65mph in a P1. I’ll do it occasionally but not often .......besides driving something that short wheelbased at higher speeds...you better be paying attention... I drive mine all over town 35 to 45 which is perfect...

Welcome from Arizona City! Where you at?

I know what you mean about traffic. Now imagine driving a 43 mph 700...LOL! I tend to trailer a bit further than some...
