Hate to hear that, but good to know! Have not made up my mind yet on what I going to get.

KFI is one of very few if not the only mfg. that uses metal gearing, fwiw.

I will tell you that I have the 5500 Warn Axon on my Talon and had to do a 100’ dead weight pull and about 75’ in it it tripped, had to let it cool down for 15 minutes or so and then finished it.

Yeah @Tmorg - don't go with the 3500, you want a 5000 so you don't find yourself struggling like robo did. I have the badlands 5000 and it has done a great job. Got rid of that steel cable and went to nylon asap, though. Steel cables suck.
