So I just got back home from being out of town all week for work and I had piles of boxes waiting for me! My wife had lots of questions and wasn’t as excited as I was. Got my radio, cup holders, gun rack, horn, mirrors, Wild Boar bumper, LED headlight bulbs and some LED pods. First I got my radio installed today, love the fit and finish of the SSV. Does anyone have an opinion on how to wire the radio? I go back and forth between wired direct to the battery with a switch, or keyed power. I don’t plan on running the radio a lot without the key on, but if I would happen to, it would be nice to not drain as much battery. So looking for suggestions either way there. Opened up the box on the Wild Boar, and there’s no hardware or instructions. I can probably figure it out and wouldn’t follow the instructions anyway, but does anyone know if I'm supposed to re-use the factory hardware? Also there was no LEDs in the bumper and they were supposed to come with it. Sent the EBay seller a message, waiting to hear back from them, but otherwise I have a weekend of installation fun ahead of me!

Well Fedex just dropped off my second delivery of the day, four hours later. A box with hardware, instructions, and LED pods. The tracking never said two boxes, and I only got one tracking number, so I wasn’t expecting this. So all is good!!

Sdpioneer looks great! If and when you add your winch let me know how is goes.

Not planning for a winch, not right now anyway. Mainly going to be a farm/hunting rig, I shouldn’t ever find myself in need of a winch, but never say never.

Yup pulling trees off tight trails, fences, unsticking tractor (wireless remote is awesome).

Comes in handy especially with a few block pulleys

Got my cup holders in now, simple mod that makes them much more practical. I just had the double sided 3M tape hold them down. I contemplated adding some silicone or some sort of adhesive to make it really hold, but I do like the idea of simple removal if I do need to.

Looks great.

I wish I could count the times that around the farm here, I "didn't need" a winch!

Sure has come in handy and I'd recommend that you go with a synthetic one.

(Check your alignment, looks a little bit toed out.)

I just used the sticky that came on them. 2 years later they haven't moved a bit. Probably the best $12 I ever spent

Well I hadn’t updated this in a while, so I’ve added a few more lights for hunting this winter, and a gun rack. Light bar up front, couple of back up/cargo lights, Turn Pro signal kit, and an Amazon switch panel. I switched out the Turn Pro switches for some blue illuminated switches that fit in better and used my switch panel. Very happy with the modifications I’ve done so far. I am finding out up North with a non heated garage to store my Pioneer in that she does not like the cold. Had one morning when the air temp was -15F and it would not start. Turned her over until the battery was dead and wouldn’t fire. Put a battery charger on it and eventually got it to run. Haven’t had a problem since, but that was the coldest day I’ve tried to ride it too. Sorry, got a little long winded, but I sure do love my Pioneer!

Looks awesome. I’ve been looking at these bumpers. But I’m wanting to mount the winch on top of the bumper instead of down inside it. How accessible is the winch from inside bumper? Also in your opinion would the bumper be rugged enough to mount winch on top on the flat spot on the middle ? Thanks

Hey guys, new to the forum, and new to pioneers. Just bought my first sxs, a 2018 Pioneer 1km3 EPS. I think the front end could use some more protection, and I found a Wild Boar front bumper that seems to be reasonably priced. Can anyone give any input, good or bad on these bumpers?
