Hi, I am new to the forum, it has already helped me gain much insight on my recently purchased 2016 pioneer 700-4. I bought the pioneer to replace an aging Quadmaster 500 and want to get the most out of it. I was wondering if anybody has done a spacer style lift kit and if so will it lead to early cv joint failure? I was thinking just 2" would be helpful for extra ground clearance. I don't want to get bigger tires and loose towing capability. I am already concerned about not having a hi-lo range and first gear does not have the grunt I had hoped it would. so if anybody runs 27" tires did you loose much low end power? Thanks!

first thing is itll handle an average aggressive 27 but thats about all it wants for mud. or higher altitude. they sell spring spacer lift on ebay for like 20 bucks. you will have no issues out of the cvs. i have been running 2.5" strongmade shock relocator lift for 5 yrs and just recently put the 2.5" spacer lift on as well. on paper i have 5 inches of lift but in reality it more like 4.25-4.5" the main thing is keeping the stock shock length maybe 2 inches longer and your cvs will never bind. stock axles on a 14. model. still.

easiest way to install is to use a ramp pull 1 side up on it to compress spring a little then use 2 ratchet straps on opposite sides. back it off the ramp and jack it up. itll give you all the space you need to install 2da25c71923412c150e6a0f728497925B5c456d975fb03433dafb440ae3cb1212c27444115178791ca36ed46b22241cb880b9b37e2b5273ffe6fce383b10dbf3

Great info and photos, much appreciated that you have save me install time with the ramp trick. I am going to order a set of spacers today/ Looks like there are black composite and aluminum to choose from.

Welcome from Northeast Texas! 27/9/14 Terrabytes on mine and no power loss, 43mph top speed. I do have a High Lifter 2.5 lift brand new still in box that I would part with if someone wanted it.

I run 27s but they are not overly heavy and it does fine. I don't notice any loss in power but a heavy tire would sure let you know it was there.

I run 27/9/14 Tusk Terrabites on all 4, I recently installed 2" spacer on rear and 1.5" on front. The tires haven't affected speed or towing as the machine will hit rev limiter At 43mph. The Spacers made a nice change to the aggressive look to stance and feels more stable while cornering. I don't go mudding nor do I go swimming, I use it daily around the house.
