NOOB from beautiful, sunny HOOOOT Texas!!

I've watched no telling how many YouTube videos from this club/forum and it just seemed like the kind of place I'd enjoy...
I currently have a Pioneer 1000-5... Had a 700-4 but reluctantly sold it... Wife still givin' me grief over that one!! AND she sees it every day because I sold it to our neighbor!
Anyway, we live on a 50 acre place in East Texas and the Honda is our every day vehicle to run around in on the property. I also use it in Deep South Texas for hunting. It's quite customized already, but I've recently been driven to up my game some because the factory tires are just not cutting it in the South Texas Brush Country... That dictated a Highlifter lift, spacers, new tires (currently on order), and in my "research" on line looking for good tires, etc. I've run across all these other neat things to do to it... I've now got REAL cup holders! Today, I ordered all the giblets to install the second battery so I will have some wiring/rewiring to do soon...
Anyway, I look forward to joining in on the conversation and look forward to being able to contribute to the forum myself.

Welcome from a fellow Texan! If you dont do any heavey mud or rock climbing. I would suggest LT tires, much heavier sidewalls and seam to be better when it comes to thorns and the such.

I have BFG All Terrains coming... Have the same tires on my ranch truck. I will also put a heavy dose of HD2500 Multi-Seal in them.

Interested in the tire sealant you mentioned, but I checked their website, and could not find at what temp the stuff stops flowing. Do you know if it flows at negative temps? Last winter plowing snow with the Honda, temps dropped below -18. If the tire sealant freezes, it would be kind of tough to drive around. haha!

They are custom builds from a friend of mine. All aluminum. Front basket and roof coated with spray in bed liner (Rhino lining, I think). The roof as you can see in the pics rear half folds forward in case I need to haul something that is tall in the bed. Also makes standing and filling feeders easier. Also the small light bars that are mounted to the under side of the rear portion of the top when folded forward expand the view at night as they point slightly outward when folded forward... This sucker lights up the world with those lights...

For the Multi-Seal, I will try to find out about the minimum temperature... I have a friend that was involved in the original testing of this product for the military WAY back when (around 1980 or so) when they were developing it. He did corrosion testing for them co they could promote that it would not corrode rims and is nonflammable like so many dire sealants were back then. If I can get an answer, I will post back. I do know that it is glycol based at least, so it likely would be quite low temp. compatible...just not sure how low.

Thanks for all the kind words on the buggy.... It actually has a few other upgrades that weren't shown in those pics... That is from when it was brand new... When I get the new tires on, I will post updated pics. Never put a lift kit on one before and I'm really liking it so far. With the 1 1/2" wheel spacers, it "seems" more stable... I think my next upgrade will be Fox Shocks front and rear... Heard good things about those... but dang!! they're pricey!!
