We all know the real answer is that we just cant leave things alone...
I bought a new Harley softail custom in 1996 and told the wife “all I’m changing is the seat and handlebars.” Well I put 17 grand into that bike on top of the purchase price. Every time I buy a new toy to this day the wife says “ I know seat and handlebars”. We can’t leave well enough alone. You ain’t lying.

You can't beat that machine for rock crawling.

I was super impressed with the KRX yesterday at NWOHV. I went everywhere my buddy did in his badazz rock crawler on 43" stickies, and did so in a 100% stock machine with SATV skids on it. I have zero complaints!

And words can't describe how awesome my friends new crawler came out. He built it in 8 months using "parts off his shop floor" and that thing gets it in the rocks. 😎

Did i mention that my wife cartwheeled the KRX in my hay field on Thursday evening? She was tooling around the field and decided it was fine to cut it hard left while doing 30+ mph. It went over on the passenger side and then the RF wheel dug in and sent it flipping onto the drivers door. Other than some body damage I mostly fixed Friday the KRX was unharmed. Cage didn't get tweaked at all......

Right after the crash:

I stripped it down to see the damage:

And had it back together Friday afternoon minus the headlights.

Hopefully she wasn't injured? Now that you have the first mishap, time to send it

Other than a bruised ego she walked away without a scratch. I'm glad I installed 4 pt harnesses as soon as I got it.

I was sending it yesterday. 😎

There's no doubt that the krx is better at rock crawling and has a better suspension, as delivered, than the Talon ... but it doesn't have the paddle shiftin' 6 speed which is more fun than should be legal.

I still have the Talon race car for when I want to go fast and send it over jumps. 😎

I'm sure all manufacturers Sport machines need tweaking, it just seems odd to me that they may need as much money spent on them as a utility machine to go ride the trails.

I guess the point is that they do it faster and possibly more comfortably.

Rock on . . .
I feel like I did about the same mods as the pk1 to get them ready for the same trails. And yes it's more comfortable at high speeds. It still shakes the s*** out of my beer at lower speeds lol

Is motor together by chance or having too much fun literally letting the good times roll

I thought about loading the engine parts into my truck sometime this week and taking a ride to go drop it off at the engine builders shop. Does that count for anything? 🤣
