This weekend my brother was visiting so I put him to work and we accomplished the initial 100 mile/20 hour maintenance (at 81 miles). We also installed the plow mount. So while I observed, my arm is in a sling, I noticed the front shocks are not adjustable like all my previous machines from other makes and the P500 I also have now. In the past I would always adjust the shocks for stiffness when the plow was mounted.

The rear shocks are adjustable so I thought I would ask the all knowing HondaSXS club.

Anyhow, thanks in advance.

Im assuming your talking about your P1? If so, the rears are self leveling not adjustable. If your looking to make the shocks better, your much better off to just buy some aftermarket shocks. The stockers are less to be desired and on rough trails, youll eventually loose all your fillings.

The stock shocks are progressive, so They get stiffer the more they are compressed and take more to compress.

Thanks Guys! Please excuse my one armed typing. Since all four shocks on my 2020 P500 have the "steps" that if turned would compress the shocks for stiffer ride and the two stock shocks (say that 3 times fast) on the rear of my 2021 P100-3 D also have the same device, I found it curious the P1000 did not have something similar on the front. My P500 primary mission is as a Sporting Clays cart. The P1000 does daily service from mail box run to giving the older bird dogs a ride. However, plowing my 1/2 mile (uphill both ways when I walk it) dirt driveway here in the Rockies is of primary importance.

I guess I'll figure it out and then come back to the list for shock recommendation.
