Bought a new 2017 700-2 6 days ago, and here is what I have done so far:
As slippery as the floor felt on the showroom floor, I knew adding grip was high on the list. Herculiner to the rescue! FYI for those debating this: rough up the surface with scratch pads VERY well. A couple of places it peeled off a little once I pulled the painters tape off. Bedliner is available in spray cans, for $5-6 bucks, but it is basically undercoating. The cans of Herculiner have pellets in suspension that the spray cans don't, and without the pellets, the grip is greatly reduced IMHO.
Next was adding storage. Taking up bed space to me wasn't feasible, as I bought this for work and play. There is a bracket very well placed underneath for bolting an ammo can. The 50 cal Fat style can fits well, doesn't take up too much foot room and there is just enough room under the dash for it to open.
Doing a walk around I noticed a very poor placement of a grounding hub. Silicone and flex shield is something that should have been done at the factory if they couldn't find a better place to locate it.
And to wrap it up, felt a horn was necessary. Clearance aisle for $5.
And gratuitous after action photo:
4500 lb Superwinch and EMP aluminum roof are on their way. Snowplow is in the near future.
