I was showing a new member around on farm this morning. Heard a little noise in front end on driver side. Got off and looked. Boot came off on wheel side. It was doing a little wobbling. But, going straight it was running true. You could hear a little noise. Tire and wheel is not leaning. Drove back camp and that is when noticed boot had came loose.

So, what I'm I in for doing it myself? Videos or anything that will help me.

This is not my deal. We can talk big block and small block Chevrolet all day long.

That's your inner boot, right? Was there any grinding sound in the cv itself?

Anyway, the Rhinos are the way to go. Tougher and less expensive than stock (on the 1000's anyway.) And you don't have to assemble them.

If you fix that boot to keep as a backup, getting the clamp right was my issue. Some universal bands are junk, the OEM clamps are best.

They sitting at house waiting for me to put them on now. Ball is in my court now. Got to clean it up first. Surely my lazy butt can get them put on on a three day weekend?

I cleaned it up this morning. Took a while too. Had 3 months of mud on it. But, its clean now. Cool out there using that pressure washer at 51 this morning.

Plan on doing axle install sometime tomorrow.
