I scored a super Awesome monster grain mill in St Elmo . It’s got a bigger hopper than my nearly equally sized corn grist mill for making corn meal. Best part is it was only $75. Phenomenal deal. Back when things were made with much more higher quality standards than today. My guess would be that this particular grinder was probably in some type of general or grocery store back in the late 18 to early 1900s.
Cranking!!!

I’ve always enjoyed building things and got into building rustic-ish furniture when I realized how expensive furniture from stores was. Started out building a couple things for the house and kind of expanded from there.

Also into college sports (the Razorbacks fuel my depression) and hunting. But the majority of my time is spent at the gym.

My primary passion for years has been riding all the backroad twisties the PNW has to offer.. Back in 2003, I started doing a ride each year, I spent hours and hours planning and organizing it. We started with 7 riders. By 2011, the count was 27. Average miles was 800-1000, so not huge. We had an absolute blast every year, but the amount of effort it took to put it together (to my satisfaction) was taxing. After weather and a few other issues made the '14 ride less than fun.. I stopped. My buddies keep bugging me to do it again, but I'm having too much fun with my Pioneer!!

Here are a few shots from years past;
First one is Lolo Pass, hwy 12. The sign says it all..

We've had a few mishaps over the years.. this happened in '12. I'm looking over what's left of a buddy's new CBR1000. City boys sometimes freak out when the road has tar snakes.. To me, it just makes the corners a bit more technical.. you slide a little each time you cross one, so you've gotta set your corner up correctly to begin with. What you DON'T do, is freak and slam on the brakes. This guy did that, and ended up going right off the corner at about 70 or so.. hit a small pine tree in the barrow pit and did a full front flip off his bike. He came out fine. His bike... not so much.

Personally I’m not a big sports fan because it feels my depression. LOL I refer to it more often as panem et circensis. Or translated to; bread and circuses. Otherwise known as distractions. I guess we all need some sort of distraction and some work well for others, whereas others work well for others. A good distraction would be our common appreciation for our Honda’s. My father‘s hobby is woodworking and he’s done some amazing things. Along time ago Ethan Allen the furniture maker used to have a dry kiln just down the river from my house and I used to collect mountains of Mahogany teak ash oak cherry Ipe and many exotic and domestic woods. All in varying lengths and sizes of board feet. I collected many full truckloads and literally thousands of feet of exotic woods for a long time. Before I realized the value of what I had collected, I burned it as firewood. Once my father discovered I had all of the stuff he went crazy and build all kinds of furniture and did raised panels on his ceilings and walls and did amazing work in his house, my house my brothers house and build all kinds of great pieces of furniture. I have a strong appreciation for woodworking. I used to do a fair amount of turning on a lathe. That was a huge passion for me. Very therapeutic too.

I'm into military vehicles. I've had three in recent years. The first picture was my 5 ton M925A2 ROPS truck it has the 8.3 liter Cummins turbo diesel with a 5 speed Allison automatic. It also has a full roll cage. The second is the militaries latest iteration, the 7 ton MTVR. 500 hp Cat C12 turbo diesel, Allison 7 speed automatic, air lockers on each axle, fully independent suspension, weapons platform with turret, a real beast of a vehicle. The third picture is my current ride, a M929A2 dump truck. Drive train is the same as the 925. It is going to be very useful, unlike the two previous grocery getters🤣. All three trucks have the CTIS tire inflation system where you can control the tire pressures from inside the cab.
