Who’s ready to overland next week? Who got a busy weekend planned prepping and packing?

Supposed to have carnivore show up tomorrow to replace cut one from last trip and rear brakes should be here Monday! Hopefully have everything ready except brakes and packing food/drink by end of weekend.

On the front.
Replaced cv boot.
New honda brakes.
Ball joint lost cap so replaced it.
Passenger tie rod was wore out. Replaced it. That helped with some of the steering play.
Reset mud guard I ripped off.

My new tires that have new cuts haven't gone flat. So. Not replacing them.

Need to do rear brakes.
Need to go through tools, camping gear, and food.

Fixed exhaust leak on my Ram truck tonight.

Currently deep freezing plastic shoebox of water. That along with 4 frozen water bottles. 2 frozen garaorades, and final packing of ice cubes kept my soft cooler cold for almost 5 days last time. Along with pre-chilling drinks and the cooler too.

15+- machines. Most I ever lead.
Oh.. I need to post my trail rules. Lol.

It's already programmed. Bought it from Offroad Comms here on the board. Thanks for the offer though.

Here you go.
  • Leave no trace - We will take all our trash back out with us. There may also be trash already at the camp, we can take some but if it's a bunch we may not be able to.
  • Be respectful - to each other and other riders.
  • Spotters - We only need ONE spotter that you trust in each situation. Seen times where a group of people each giving direction. 2 say LEFT, others say RIGHT. LOL. The driver has no clue what to do. When spotting, use PASSENGER and DRIVER vs left and right.
  • Getting lost.... IMPORTANT: If the person behind you gets lost... it is YOUR FAULT.
  • Trail rules are as such... ALWAYS GO STRAIGHT.
  • We will not stop at every turn-off.... so.. GO STRIGHT.
  • When we turn... You MUST wait for the person behind you to catch up. You must also make sure they turn.
  • Headlights ON for visibility of rider in front and behind you.
  • If you come up to a turn-off.... GO STRIGHT.
  • If you are not sure which way is straight... Then STOP and call on the radio.
  • I will also do a better job announcing turns on the radio.
  • Wear your seat belt.
  • Helmets are recommended due to difficulty but not required.
  • This is not a 5/30 ride.
  • If you need to stop to take a leak... do so. But let people pass. check-in with the caboose.
  • We do need a designated tail caboose... anyone? You need a radio.
  • If we come upon someone who needs help.. we stop and offer help.
  • Were not here to break stuff. Send it once... maybe twice... then let's winch.
