As a novice I'm wondering if I put 29x11-14 rears/29x9-14 fronts or 30x10-14's on my stock 1000-5 and they "rub" what will be the result---will just the fronts rub on turns or will the rears also rub---and what might be the possible damage? Your experience and comments will be appreciated.

I wanted more ground clearance without a lift, so I went with 30's all the way around with the Super ATV a arms and after market shocks. I gained about 2.5 in ground clearance with this set up and no lift, just something about changing the angle of the shock with a lift?????????

The front is the main concern without a lift or a arms. Worst case, cut tires and broken front fenderwells. Maybe even a high speed Endo under the right conditions lol.

I have the 29 inch set up you mentioned o factory deluxe wheels. Bighorn 2.0 up front and Tusk Trilobites out back.

No rubs yet, and I believe I have gone through the full suspension stroke several times. Turns out 29x11 and 29x9 both measured just over 28 inches at ~14 PSI.

Looks much better IMO.

@JTW is exactly right. Some tires run much smaller than others. @Smitty335 is running 30” evos with just arms and shocks. I have the same shocks and same arms and I have a 2.5” hilifter lift and I can still rub my 30” roctanes in the right conditions. I’ve rubbed the front and the back. I’d say go with a tire that has a true height of 28” if you don’t want to lift but are ok with arms. Without front arms, stay with a 27” true height tire.

The 30" Evo's can be 28"-30" in height just from air pressure. They are height rated at max psi which is like 34 psi. Roctanes are over 30" with just a couple psi in them. General consensus is a true 28" is about the max on a stock rim. If you run wheel spacers or an aftermarket rim with less backspacing it will rub worse.

Actually I'm running ITP- Black Waters, they measure 29.25 with 8 PSI. They have a aggressive tread pattern and clean well, really doesn't throw any where near the mud the EVO's did on Rooster.

My 30" evos rubbed front drivers side on big bumps. Rode it like that for quite a while with no ill effects. Wouldve been even less if id had 814 shocks back then.

If you have any plans of running 30s just do the SATV arms and be done. Itll make life alot easier.

That was kinda the point of my hysterical laughter on phone. Im sure she felt fairly insulted.
Not sure on Takeover schedule. Wifey is coming and not sure what kinda timeframe we are looking at. Looking forward to seeing you as well. Takeover is always a whirlwind for me as far as riding goes. I turn into biggest whore you ever seen lol. I friggin ride with anybody that comes along.
