Mine seemed clean, and would be interested in @Torq-Masters reply. Glad you caught that.Got mine in the mail today. Looks like a sturdy piece of kit. FYI, it appears to have sand packed into the crevices (sand mold?) Might want to give it a good cleaning before installing.
Upon closer inspection, I don't think it could be sand from a mould as those appear to be machined surfaces. Not sure what it is, but does feel a bit gritty. Easy enough to clean off though so no big deal to me. That's the break-in sand! HA!

It's probably been shot blasted.Hmmm. Not sure what it is then. Its brown and somewhat gritty. I just assumed (you know what they say...) it was cast, then machined to final spec.
Have one from the initial 2018 manufacturing batch, no issues. They were heat treated. A quality product IMO.Hi folks just wondering what the long term reliability of these are and how well they work.. I've ordered a P520 in Darwin Australia and would be keen to install one of these.. are there any disadvantages?
any disadvantages?
Haha.. that definitely could be a disadvantage...After installation, you'll find yourself looking at a cliff face, or mud hole the size of a house and thinking "... I wonder if I can make that now..."
Locker + power steering + 27" tires + full skid plate = Bring it on!!
