If I went with Sedona Ripsaws 26x11x12 all the way around, would this widen the width and if so, how much do you suppose? Do you think there is added benefit of a more stable platform without widening too much? Are there other benefits, and if so, what? Thanks.

Rule of thumb with the P5 is that if you go up you gotta go out. I had 26" s on stock wheels and no spacers for one ride. Too much pucker for me. Put 1" spacers on and it was much better. Now have aftermarket wheels and it's even better yet. I essentially went up 2" and out 3" which helped the COG. It's a whole different machine with bigger, better tires and a little stance.
I don't know that you could mount 11" tires on the stock front rims? Bead leaks?

I was otherwise thinking 26x9x12" all the way around. I still have so much to learn. Rims, spacers...

Don't forget if your riding 50" trails spacers and most aftermarket rims will not allow you to do so otherwise your ok.

I've never had to pass through posts or gates or anything. You can tell which trails are for quads and I've never had a problem fitting down them. I suppose I could be pulled over by DNR and measured but haven't heard of that happening around here either. If they were ever going to let a sxs on a quad trail, this would be the machine.

Ripsaws weigh about half again as much as a Bighorn 2.0. Heavier tires take away acceleration and add to stopping distance, harder on axles and cv joints, etc.

I would go with bighorn originals over the 2.0.. you'll get more life out of them and the weight difference is negligible. I had 26x9x12 on my p5 with 5+2 wheels I never got to use. The idea was one size fits all so I could rotate and have one spare that would work on all 4 corners.

Pics are on factory wheels. Wish I had gotten the aftermarkets on. The cheapest I found was Amazon and free shipping with prime.

Really, they're that much lighter? Those Rip Saws look BA and I would've given them a better look had I known that. What's the sacrifice for being so much lighter though, had to reduce the weight somewhere?

I've been researching tire weight and the Rip Saw 26x11x12 weighs in at 36.75 lbs. The exact same size BigHorn 2.0 weighs 27.95 lbs according to Dennis Kirk's website.

Bighorns tread depth is like 1/2" or something where the ripsaws are 1 1/8" deep. The extra tread depth has a lot to do with the extra weight, not to mention the ripsaws treads cover a lot more of the carcass of the tire. I have ripsaws on my 700, with about 500 miles on them and I have no complaints yet. I would think 26x9 on the front and x10 on the rear would look good on a 500. I think @jak9922 is running ripsaws on his , what size does he have?

So, lately I've been throwing around Ripsaws 25 x 9 x 12 OR 25 x 10 x 12 all the way around. One reason for smaller is I'm gonna be spending time in Colorado and Utah and Idaho at elevation and don't want to rob myself of power when riding at high elevations. A heavier tire though gives you a lower center of gravity too. Is 10" too wide for the front and would it increase my width by much? Math Bah!!! Thoughts?

1/2"? Little exaggeration there? The Rip Saws do look nice but all of these tires compare themselves to the leading brand...Big Horns!

I just don't like when guys exaggerate or give false information because they run a particular brand or size. I run BH's but the Rip Saws look BA! I have the Honda front bumper but kinda' wished I had went with the Strong Made. I also think the EMP roof looks better than the Honda OEM. Just because I use something doesn't make it the best and if it fails I'll be the first to start chirping about it. ;)

I wasn't judging, lol. The gang sign was just for Big Horns. I'm thinking the exact same scenarios as @100Acre Rip Saws or Big Horns... 9" or 11" all the way round. Half my thinking is done and it's the Big Horns... will my wife be able to turn 11s without power steering? hmmmm...
