Thanx for letting me into your sweet club... just purchased a 2017 p5 put 51miles on ot last weekend and im thoroughly impressed with this machine besides no freaking storage but i already have ideas for that!!! Also looking for anyone that has put a rack above there rear rack ? Anyone at all

Welcome! Like you, I’m a new owner.. Almost 2 week’s. And I’m also in the process of figuring out the best setup for me on the back rack.. I really like the Husky 48” box/StrongMade basket setup.. do a search for that and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Other than that I installed a glove box made by a member by the handle of ‘Chooglin’.. highly recommended as a starting point for a little storage.. at least for the pocket sized items like a cell phone, flashlight, etc.

I like that, looks like it fits the rack perfectly. Wonder how well a few coats of rustoleum bedliner spray would hold up on it.. just to make it match the racks. And could probably put a rubber mat in the bottom to keep small stuff from falling through the gaps.

Here is a link to the P500 site here where over 200 replies are shown and you will see various combinations of racks. If you google, rear rack/basket for Honda Pioneer 500 you will find numerous images/ideas. I have included my ultimate rear rack after extensively looking and ultimately had a rear drop basket extended 14" (the center) and it works well..

After much effort in building a wood box, switched to a reasonably priced aluminum basket (Northern tool has a great price now at $59, (paid $79 for mine), or Harbour Freight. Just leave off the hitch tube, fits perfectly and easier to wash mud out, more pics/comments at this link, P500 - Cargo basket aluminum

Welcome to the club, I put a curt rack on mine, works great.

Heres my custom built setup. Just got the box made and mounted but have had the toolbox for a yr or so. Youd be amazed at how much you can carry in there. Just wanted to also carry larger stuff that wasnt playing nice with the remaining rack space so the box was added on. Can easily fit my rtic 20 cooler and a gas can with room to spare.
