First owner took pioneer up a rock slide and scratched the stock deluxe wheels up pretty good.
Rustoleum primer + paint sail blue is a very close match to the 2017 Honda blue. Since I have lots of lockdown time on my hands, I decided to give the wheels a refurb.

Got 2 of 4 done, lots of lines to tape off!

I’ve been trying to use same tape template but rears are a little different than fronts

i did that to my custom truck rims.took 4 days to sand,2 days to tape and 2 days to paint and ceramic nano coat them but they look better than new.i did mine at work on my down time between double shifts.that blue looks great.nice job.

After this small project i don’t believe I could be a paint and bodywork guy for a living.

hard to tell but the camper pic is an after.went from matte black to more of a gloss with the ceramic nano coat.

Thanks for all the positive comments!

I see some pretty deep cuts in the stock bighorn 2.0 but they all hold air pressure and are just wearing to the cuts in the lugs at 1300 miles.

When its time to replace them, I will prob go to a more all terrain or better wearing on hard surfaces. I like how some have moved up to 10" wide in front which doesn't require new A-Arms.

Still on the lookout for a set of LE wheels + tires as I like that wheel style and I could carry one as a spare. Right now i just carry a plug kit and power port air pump.

I picked up a set of LE wheels on Craigslist. I can confirm that the rubber LE caps DO NOT fit the Deluxe wheels. Limited Edition wheel has a much smaller hub hole where the rubber Honda cap goes vs the large Deluxe wheel center hub hole.

I wonder if Honda Car wheel caps would fit? You can get a set of 4 for less than the price of 1 Deluxe Pioneer wheel cap.
