check for loose spinning boots or twisting boots and last a rip im the boot where water and other contaminats can get in

i do alot of water crossings and mud so mostly you normal riding you wont have to worry but i do push mine alittler harder then most

Could you tell how the boot failed allowing the water/mud to enter? Cracks, stick, dried mud wear, clamp failure, etc?

i was replacing a ripped boot and noticed the inner cv was getting water in but i didnt have the bands to remove/clean the cv and bang 15mile ride twice in 4wd it blew her load thankfully i was minutes from the house also my front dif was half water half milk :( but so far seems i caugt that intime

I don't see the problem other than maybe water mixing with grease. What part broke?

What parts are required for service if the boot is good, grease and a band clamp? What kind of grease do you repack with? I've never serviced CV joints.
