Where are you getting your oil change kits for the 2023 1000-6? All I am seeing is 2022 or older. I am guessing the 2022 kit will work but thought I would ask.
Buy the filters and oil separate, Cheeper that way.

I have a 2020 and buy Rotella T6 at Walmart and Hi-Flo filters on Amazon. I'm assuming the 2023 uses the same stuff.

Should be the same, same part numbers for oil filters. I bought it directly from Honda Motorsport dealer.

So a follow up question on the initial 100mile service. I have seen people in YouTube replace the front and rear gear oil, the manual states to “check levels” but on the second chart it specifies replacement every two years. I’m sure it won’t hurt to flush at 100miles but am I’m missing or not reading correctly..? It states check level not replace, just like the brake fluid etc. only specifies to replace engine oil and oil filters.

I like to get the first fluid changes done earlier than spec'd to get the initial break-in wear bits drained out. I think I did all fluids on the Talon ~1000 miles (excluding the engine oil, done at 100). Pick a number that makes you comfortable, to allow for 'some' break-in, mine was 1000.

That's what a mechanic that works on side by sides told me, to wait at least a few hundred miles, I'm going to do at least the engine oil about 130miles currently, and the rest a few hundred miles from now along with the valve inspections.

I went through the 100 mile, oil and valve BS. I change my oil every 1000 miles now and I think that's excessive, but I do a lot of rock crawling and want to protect the clutches.
