Hey,
I read in a thread here some weeks ago about
removing the doors, so I "tried" to take mine off
for doing road maintenance in our development,
and for yard work. I was able to remove the screws
from the top hinge on the left hand door, but I
could not get the bottom screws to budge. I used
a 20 volt impact driver & an open end wrench.

Do they have locking compound on them? I
thought about heating them, but I wanted
to ask here first.

Any suggestions?

Thanks1

John

They do have locktite on them and they are exposed to water splash from the front tires. In my experience the lower front door hinges feel like they are on as tight as lug nuts. I've always been able to get them off with just a ratchet but you could try to heat just the head, the are screwed I to a metal threaded insert

I took mine off to put bushings in and they were very tight. Use a 10mm 3/8 drive with a cheater pipe. Just put gradual pressure on them and they will break loose

I had to drill one screw. I had rounded the corners
too much to get it out, even after heating it. A pain,
but it's done. I'll buy new hardware to replace the
OEM stuff. I was thinking SHCS's but I may get some
higher grade hex heads.

And after that, I added my second 3" bilge blower.

Running good!

Later!
