Meet "SMOKEY" ( Smokey the Bear)!! This is my 2015 Pioneer 500. We have eight kids so that means two things, we need a lot of seats and we're broke. I have always had Honda four wheelers and absolutely love the five speed transmission. I was only interested in getting a Pioneer 500 for two reasons the price and most the time I tow a little trailer (made out of the rear end of a four wheeler) full of kids. I tested the Pioneer 700 and could not get used to the 3-speed transmission for towing I need first gear. Obviously I can't afford a Pioneer 1000 so I decided to get a 500. I am so glad I did!! I couldn't be happier with it. I'm sure some people think I'm crazy putting six people on a Pioneer 500 but we are used to hauling around multiple kids on Honda Recons, Ranchers and homemade trailers. I've never really shared my setup cuz I figured there's not too many big families that want to haul all their kids around the mountains and ditch banks on a 500. But, hopefully someone out there will find this interesting or helpful. Since I've owned it I have never tipped it over. Most of the time I have multiple passengers so I am very careful. I know the limits of the machine. Surprisingly, it does crazy good! It has done better at everything I've put it up against, way better than I expected. It handled the weight and center of gravity really good. I have 2 inch spacers all the way around. I run 27 by 8.5 by 14 mud terrain pickup tires, they are amazing and work perfectly for what we do. There's lots of other stuff I could go on about but I'll just leave it at that if you have questions feel free to ask. I have been following this forum for quite a while now and just want to say you guys are all awesome!

I think you’ve done a great job! I see safety is important to you with the cage, seat belts, nets, and high back seat. The smiles on your children’s faces say it all! Nice Build! ;)

Thanks, I was a little worried about sharing how I set it up. On some forums I've seen people taking it upon themselves to tell people who have done custom mods, they have no business doing it because they're not Engineers therefore are not educated enough to design anything worth doing. I grew up on a dairy farm. My dad built , design and fixed everything himself and taught us kids to do the same. I guess my whole family is kind of do-it-yourselfers. After getting my 500 my mom and dad bought one the same year and did the same six-seater mod, they love it too! I'll try and post a picture of it sometime, as there's is a little bit different design. Anyway, thank you for being supportive and non-judgmental. We all come from different backgrounds and have different opinions, but at the end of the day we all love the Pioneer 500!

Nice work man! You've been holding out, that much sh** doesn't happen over a weekend. Really too much to comment on at once.
Nice job on the dash, looks well thought out and I'm diggin' the color.
That rear roof that's contour cut to the Honda roof probably doesn't leak much does it? Looks like it might be slightly sloped back and the Honda slopes forward. Painting the roof rack green was a nice touch too.
Like how you moved the nets to the back for the kids.
You have a couple of Honda clamps on the rops that don't look like they're doing anything?
Cargo nets and grab handles...there was some thought put into this whole thing.

Thanks trigger! I made the dash out of a piece of old diamond tailgate cover. After I made a template out of paper I traced it to the diamond plate backwards on accident. I didn't realize until I had already cut all the holes for switches, gauges and volume control. It had taken me quite a while and I didn't want to do it all over again, so I sanded off all the diamond plate and use the back side of the aluminum instead. In the end I'm actually happier with it being flat because all the switches are able to sit more flush and it matches my box.

Also, the RAM mount I have on my Dash is not a RAM mount. It's a China brand off of eBay it came with everything you see ball mount, extender piece, X grip and it's made out of aluminum instead of plastic like the official Ram Mount brand. Only problem was you couldn't choose the color it either came in Black, orange or blue iodized. I ordered 3 of them it only cost $33.87 total shipped to my door and luckily i got all black. It also has an on off switch and a USB charging port built in. Really good deal in my opinion and good quality. I didn't see any available on eBay right now but I took some pictures so if anyone's interested they can watch for when they're available again.

I made the rear roof out of a office chair floor mat. It's the plexiglass stuff you put over carpet so your office chair can roll around. It was three dollers at a used store so I figured why not. You're right, it doesn't leak hardly at all I angled it down so the water runs to the back. I planned on putting a piece of rubber edging to press against the Honda roof, but after using it for a while without it, I decided it was not necessary. Also, here's a few pictures of how the rear roll bars are mounted .
