Pioneer 500 blinks code 23

My HP 500 died while riding yesterday. Engine revved high in 2nd gear and then died. Didn’t want to start for about 10 minutes. Let it rest and started again.. ran fine for about 2-3 minutes and died again.
sensor code 23 started blinking and bike will not start. Any suggestions?? Spark plug and air filter look ok
What is code 23 on a pioneer

23 is o2 sensor issues.
