Was wondering what everyone is running for tire pressures and why?

I am running 6 psi front and 8 psi rear, I found the ride to be a little better with lower pressures. I am still trying to wear out the stock tires have around 1000 mi on them, i was hoping they would wear out quicker but they are holding up very well. They must be a hard compound because they don't seem to squat much with lower pressure for a 4 ply.

Honda recomends:
Front - 10 psi
Rear - 12 to a max of 18 psi

Re: Tire Pressure

Running 6 and 8 as well, they don't start to deform until 2-4 psi.

Re: Tire Pressure

I run about the same - 8psi. I did run 12psi but it felt so hard. Tried 10 for a while and after playing around with it for a while I decided 8 was my choice.

Re: Tire Pressure

I run 6 psi all the way around. Grip and handling are great.

Re: Tire Pressure

Same here-- the 6psi front and 8psi rear setup seems perfect. Will add 2psi on each when loaded.

Re: Tire Pressure

I wonder why Honda recommends such high pressure. I too run 8 psi.

I have 27" SwampLites on all fours and run 8 psi in front and 10 psi in back.

Have an axillary battery and Warn winch up front and carry up to 1000 pounds of corn going around to feeders on the ranch.

10 psi up front and 12 psi in the rear works good too but a little bit stiffer, however steering is more precise.

i put mine at 7 in the front 9 in the rear. After i found this tread i went into the garage to check and see where the psi was at from the dealership. I noticed the other day when I pulled it into the garage that there was not a lot of tread touching the floor, no wonder why, the dealership had the psi set a 20 psi all the way around!!! I'll start with 7&9 and go from there.

When riding with the family for hours, I set mine at 7 psi all the way around. We were riding slow and the smooth ride was great. Also, I've got 28" ITP Evos. They are 8 ply which helps keep them from sagging too much. Also, they are 10" wide in the front and 11" wide in the rear. The width also helps I'm sure.

7psi in the pic.

I rode again today and carried a little more weight and adjusted my pressure to 5 in the front and 7 in the rear. 5 in the front is really good. I'll try to remember to get a pic of the tire with 5 psi in the front. It holds up real well.

The main problem isn't the tires, it's mostly due to the design of the rear axle. The 700 has a "locked" rear differential which means both rear tires are always rotating the same. This makes the inside tire on a tight turn scratch and claw somewhat.
That being said Carlisle makes a tire called an Industrial Trax that's a highway type tire that would help decrease this effect. They come in very similar sizes to the factory tires. We use them on ATV's that run a lot on paved roads etc. Might give them a try on the rear.

Hope this helps!

15-20 psi on 27 inch kenda executioners. not recomended but theyv been at that for 5 yrs now.with max 35 psi for popping on rim recommended 12-15 psi. but 20 upfront and 15 in the back lets it float nicely if i happen to get in a hole too deep for the snorkel .

The higher the tire pressure the less buoyant it becomes. Interesting fact.

I set mine 20 psi. I run 27" interco interforce, I like my tires hard so they dig down.

As far as I know, most tires will tear up your lawn as the rear diff is locked. Most tires (including stock) have a 5/8" deep tread. I changed to my stock tires to 28" mega mayhems (1" tread) and those completely tore my turf. I only use them form mudding now.
