How much did you have to alter the door frame to make this fit? Seems like at 9" wide there's not enough room. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to cut anything off the door if you don't want to, it will just hang over the edge where the warning label is indented. I didn't want to risk getting in, catching something on it, and then ripping the door off so I modified mine. I cut about a 1/2" off the side with the hinge so it would sit flush with the edge of that warning indention:

If you don't cut anything at all, it still goes in fine but you'll have some overlap like this:

I cut mine similar to Adam. I cut from the backside of the frame down the center of the inner groove. I then ground it flush with the inside edge of the groove.

I am about to do this modification. Do any of you have any pictures of the hole before the door is installed I can use as a reference? Trying to figure out how to cut the hole is my only challenge.

Cut along the bend radius on the inside and down the center of the plastic push pins on the driver door side.
