Now that I have a gun rack in the roof for my shotgun and rifles, I am interested to see how y'all mount your pistols when traveling in the P1000. I rarely holster mine when I am riding or working around the farm, but would like to have it at a moments notice if need be.

I do have a ram mount on my dash/switch plate for a phone holder, so I was thinking about getting a ram holster but I have never seen one. Any ideas? I have a 4th Gen Glock 19 that I conceal carry with, so that's what I would normally have on me in the Pioneer.

Thanks!

I carry one on a couple magnets or in the glove box if it gets too dirty.

It takes two of these to hold a gun in rough terrain. I can tell you that it doesn't move even when jumping.

I just recently put one in the truck I like it so much.

There are a couple of Holster manufactures that make quick detach holsters that would allow you to take off your belt and then mount in your Honda or Truck. Pictured below is the system by G-code holsters - it locks up really well and you can purchase different belt mounts as well as mounts that you can attach in Honda.

Safariland is also another good one with their QLS and ELS systems - I use the one below in 3gun matches and I have no worry as to it being removed from my best - now this system requires a specific belt so it is not for everyone and more specific purpose but there are a lot of options.

I do plan on using my Honda for 3gun matches and will be figuring a way to best organize my gear when attending. I will post pics when I get to that point.

Figured this out last weekend. Added a door handle for $1.00 from an Accord and our Blackhawk Serpas clip right on in. Love the Serpa. Worked excellent and was accidentally perfectly placed.you could be in a nasty roll over it's not going anywhere.
You can still close the door nicely but now it feels more manly lol

Did you mount the two magnets side by side? Do they leave any type of marks on the gun when removing and placing the gun on and off the magnets?

I like this idea because of the ease of use and they are much cheaper than the $80 I would have to pay for a RAM mount holster set up.

It has not left any marks on my Glock but you have to remember you are exposing you weapon to the elements so It might get a used look during your SXS travels. You will love it, then buy more.

I used one above the other.

No marks but the gun does get dusty and sometimes wet when I forget to pick it up before a deep water crossing.
