P1000 Plastic price....not good

Just got a quote for the replacement of all the plastic (door sides, dump sides, fenders, hood) on the 1000. The quote was for the matte grey metallic color.

Wait for it....$1202.04 MSRP.

Even with a discount the price would be outrageous.

I love the grey but not for that price.

The nemesis silver, aka metallic silver is under $400ish.


The LE uses a matte finish, and that is as expensive as camo.


Edit, buy the silver metallic and scuff it up with scotchbrite pads to dull/matte the finish.

I could be wrong, (probably am) but I don't recall the 1000-3 being offered in the silver metallic.

Just to let you know... The LE is painted plastic anyways. (i think)
It might be good to find someone to paint it. Or find a local Hydro Dipper.

Buy the silver metallic and ride the pi$$ out of it to scuff it up and dull the finish, more fun that way.
